Wow that's awesome growth. I've had mine this winter with 3 heads, still at 3 heads. I thought it would attach itself to a rock like xenias. How stupid am I? Now they have been glued to a rock a spot fed and I think I am about to have my first headsplit.

What do you feed yours?

Thanks so much, bebitte70. :) It's strange, but I don't spot/direct feed mine anything. They divide like crazy. You can see a couple of them in the last pic dividing as we speak. Just keep your params in line and they should start taking off.

What's funny is I've never spot/direct feed them. I just give them light and let them filter feed. Crazy how much they grow. :)

I moved mine to a differnt spot in the thank, 3rd move. and sense then they have been crowing and dividing. before that they didn't do much. also been spot feeding with Rods food.

Can I ask, what kind of flow do you have on your candy cane? also, what other corals are close to the candy cane? are they directly under the light or off to the side? I've had my frag for about 2 months now, but can't seem to make it happy

I got my first frag of this coral (any coral for that matter) from my reef club meeting two months ago. Started with 4 heads, each head is in the process of splitting now, and 2 look almost done splitting. This is a fun coral.

There is medium flow on my Candy Cane. They are directly below a large Monti Cap that shades them from both light and heavy flow. In general, you'll find they like low to medium flow and moderate light. Definitely try not to have them in direct flow. ;)

Congrats on the new coral. Yeah, they are a lot of fun to watch divide and grow. :)

I have never had mine have feeders out like yours, yet they seem fine and happy, never spot fed them, concern?

I don't spot feed mine either.
