Candy Cane Hard Coral question

I recently got a Candy Cane hard coral, it has 4 polyps. Mine is the brown type with green center. After researching, I am reading varying care advise. I have PC (Coralife 10k w/Actinic) lighting in a 55 gal. Any recommendations from you out there on best placement in tank with regard to lighting and flow to get the best growth rate & healthiness? Thanks in advance for any tips

Really a candy is an LPS and should be fine under PC but put it somewhere out of flow because they hate that but give it as much light as possible so it can grow. Good luck!

i had CC under pc's for 2 years and they thrived. low flow and good light like fish_wiz2 stated is the norm i think. I did however have mine all over the tank and they did fine once acclimated.

Thanks, also, I forgot to ask. I am fairly new to having LPS's. My other question is, since there is a skeleton, are they more at risk for infections than soft corals, with regards to polyp tissue being more at risk of damage by having the hard skeleton underneath, things rubbing up against vulnerable soft tissue on surface?
