Candy Cane/Trumpet Coral

Are candy cane and trumpet corals the same? Will the sting if they are next to each other?
The reason I ask is because on some websites I see that they sell them seperately.
I have one in my tank that I believe is what the sites consider a "candy cane" and another one that I placed next to it today that I see some of the sites selling as a "trumpet" coral.

Thanks for any help,
Zac

Hmmmm....its hard to tell then. One of the ones I have that I know believe to be a "trumpet" based on pics online has 6 heads. The trouble with identifying the other one is there is only a straight base then it just divides into 2 heads.
And if this helps, the one with 6 heads has green mouths with red lips and the 2 head one is just a neon green and the whole thing is neon green.
And I actually think I just answered my own question because to me it would see the 6 head one with 2 different colors would be considered to be more colorful thusforth being a candycane.....maybe the neon green is a trumpet?
So if they are in fact the 2 different species will they sting each other because they are from the same family?
Any thoughts?

I'm not sure that they CAN sting each other. My candy cane has very short sweepers. They don't extend any further than the actual polyp.

MMmm.....well I just put one of them on a new plug and moved it.....they were so close that when they would be puffed up during the day they would probably be literally touching each other. I just moved the green one today so close to it because I didn't like the old spot and then I couldn't find a new spot for it and I had to go to work so I just plopped it right next to the candy cane. It's back on the other side of the tank now though.
Thanks for the help.
