2- 175w SE 14k Hamilton on m57 magnetic ballast each in it's own 24" PFO Parallel Reflector bulbs are 6" off the water. All other corals look fine. Hammer, GSP, XENIA, Clove Polyps, Yellow Polyps, Zoas, Mushrooms, and Carnation Coral

brown usually equals getting cooked

are they new to the halides? Have they been in the same light but only now turning brown, or have you added more light/moved them more into direct light? I toasted my green candies when i added my halide, took a couple months of medicating and target feeding but they're almost back where they were.

They are on the bottom of the tank. I don't think I can move them any further. The frag tank that they came out of had 250w MH and I have 175w MH. When I bought them, they had a slight brownish tint to them and now it is getting worse. I bought them to try and save them. I only paid 6 dollars for 9 heads. Only 3 of the heads are turning brown. The other heads are more of a white with a very slight tint of yellow to them. I have tried spot feeding them and cannot get their tentacles to come out. I am going to purchase some Coral Frenzy today and see how they respond to it.

even at the bottom those halides can be too bright, candies are medium light lovers, move it to the side or underneath something and make sure they're in medium flow, dont forget to feed them. Ive found the trick with a lot of corals is simply finding the right place in the tank where they're happiest, dont be afraid to move them a couple times over a few weeks.
