i got a head of purple candycane today. what do i need to do in order to get the one head to be many of heads.

patience & time. They open up at night so you can target feed them then.

make sure your calcium level is sufficient and I found that they like cyclopeeze.....

What they said, with the additions of:

if you feed them a lot they'll end up opening nearly all the time and

they'll take any food you can throw at them - mysis, brine, chopped up seafoods, cyclopeeze, anything.
