Canister filter (fluval 404) on a QT tank?

Let me run it past you guys, so a fluval 404 on a qt tank? Any foreseeable dangers, figure it would be a good way to run ammonia chips and carbon and build up a health bacterial count.

That's fine, but I think one of the Aquaclear HOB filters would be much easier to manage.
