ok i am looking to get a canester filter is there anyting good or bad if any one have any good or bad experiance please let me know please i need some feed back

Well my tank is ALOT smaller than yours, but i have a fluval 404 that i absolutly wouldnt live without. They came out with some new high power version recently maybe you should check it out. But what i love most is the ability to use the space inside for bags of carbon, purigen pouches, rubble or whatever else you want to pump water thru to filter. Only drawback is cleaning, it took me a while to figure out how to open it and clean out the detrius without spilling water everywhere. but i'd never had one now i know how to use it. It accumulates alot of brown "mud" in it which should be washed out from time to time. The newer models are no doubt much easier to use. I recomend canister filters.

Manny, if your going to use it for activated carbon, its good, for a only source a filtration... are you crazy? lol. Don't try to use anything other then carbon in it or it will not work properly. Find one used for extremely cheap. Did you get the one from del? If so, thats a good canister filter and use just carbon, but change out the carbon at no older than 3 months or you will start getting some crazy nitrates.
