Cannon 5D replacement soon?

Getting a new Cannon 5D this month. Is there a rumour of an updated version or replacement soon, or should I just go ahead with the 5D?

I haven't heard any rumors, for what that's worth. What are you shooting with now?

There are some rumors floating around the place of a replacement coming sometime - when? Probably Canon are the only ones that know that but from the bits I've read most people don't think it'll be until sometime into next year at least most likely.

In any event, the 5D is an absolutely great camera and if you're thinking of going with it just go - you can play the "what if" game for a very long time and not get anywhere.

I personally own a Nikon D200 and have been a nikonian for years, but I still think that 5D is by far the best (affordable) dslr available.

BTW, anyone has a reef related picture taken with Canon 5D ??

Seems to be splurge for a Mk III, now to find one everyone seems to have waiting list! and a great variance on prices (+/- 25%)

Yep, I wouldn't count on getting a MkIII anytime soon unless you got on early in the waiting lists. The waiting lists are long and for one reason or another Canon seems to be really slow this time around in getting inventory pushed out.

Mk III is more expensive, that's for sure.
