Cannot resolve txt/email issue

Here are my settings (and yes, I did reboot the apex):

Apex Network Setup

Apex Ethernet setup
DHCP Disabled
Hostname :Apex
AquaController IP address: 192.168.1.51
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Primary DNS server: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS server: 8.8.4.4
HTTP port (default 80): 80


AquaController email setup
Email enable Enabled
SMTP Server: mail.gmx.com
SMTP port (Default 25): 587
From: davidgutkin@gmx.com
To: 3105603656@vtext.com
Alt To: davidgutkin@gmx.com
Re-email delay (minutes)
Email authentication Enabled
User name
User password
Email test
 
Have you tried using the telnet connection and seeing what the debug output says; that usually identified the trouble pretty quickly?
