Canon D60 died so it's time to get another camera.

Rat Bastard!
Title says it all. Went on vacation, turned the camera on and it fails to start. Only indication of power is on the LCD indication ISO 200 and the battery meter. Obviously, this is an older camera and it looks like a repair will cost more than the camera is worth so I'm considering buying another one. Plus, since my niece is getting married in a month and wants me to take pics so I can probably buy one and only get killed a little bit by the wife.

Started using Canon's a long time ago, starting with an old AE-1, and want to stay with them. I'll be buying used and was considering a 60D or 7D but started looking around and full frame 1Ds Mark II, 5D, and 5D Mark II cameras started catching my eye. I've been checking out the differences between a full frame and cropped and I think I'd be happy with a full frame camera. I've never done macro shooting, don't shoot fast action sports, and have only rarely used long lenses. I do shoot a lot of family photos and portraits, landscapes, and general photography.

I guess my two main questions come down to this. If I were to compare shots taken from a 1Ds Mk II and a 60D would I notice any real image quality differences given that the first is a full frame 16.7 MP and the second is 18.0 at 1.6? Since I've got glass I'm going to be shopping for bodies only. What would you think is a reasonable range of prices for these cameras in good used condition?

Any advice on helping me choose a body would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Are you trying to stay with Canon? I have a nikon d7000 and I LOVE it. Even my sister who owns 3 canons(2 60d's and another cant remember model) is always calling to borrow my Nikon when she goes on photoshoots.
*edit* just re-read your post and saw that you do plan on staying with canon, but if you can try out a nikon it is well worth it

If you don't need the incredible focus system of a 5D Mark III I would go with the 5D Mark II, it's a really good deal now, IMO. (but then again, I paid full price for it three years ago) :)

5D2, battery grip, two batteries and 16G card on the way. It was less than half what I paid for my last mountain bike so I figure I'll only be in the doghouse a day or two.

Any of the cameras you mentioned would've been fine. That said, as a landscape shooter I really notice the difference a full frame sensor gives. I sold my 7D because I didn't like the images as well as those from my original 5D.

Have fun!
