Canon EOS 550D !

I planning to buy my first SLR camera , yesterday i find Canon EOS 550D

and the seller advice me to buy this camera, what did you think about it ? is it worth or no ?

It's a very good camera. Definitely shop around a bit to find the best price, and get your hands on one to see if you like it. Personally, I like to have the functionality of the extra on-camera controls the 60D is going to have, but that's going to cost you more money. As far as whether or not it's worth it, I'd have to know more about what your ultimate goals are. I think a $4500 1DMIV is "worth it", but only if you have need for such a camera. If you just want to take snapshots, this camera is overkill. If you're planning on becoming a professional sports photographer, this probably isn't what you really want. It's a good quality camera, though, especially if paired with a good quality lens.

I have bought this camera a year and a half ago .
It's a very good dlsr , i'm very happy with it and can recomend you this camera.
But canon already has a newer version the 600D , so if the price is right say around 700 $ then it's a good deal.

Get the 550 and this software. You will get many of the features of the higher end Canons without the cost.

I sold my Nikon and picked up a 600. This software, Twixtor, and Magic Bullet Mojo and I am a very happy camper.
