Canon Fisheye lens

I have been wanting a fisheye lens for a while now and now thinking of selling my Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 to get one. Although I really like the Tamron for portraits and low light shooting, I find myself hardly ever shooting at f/2.8. I just picked up a 7D with the kit 28-135mm and while it might not be the best lens out there, I kinda like it! And it covers the same range and more than the tamron. It seems a little silly to have 2 lenses that cover the same exact focal range. I think sacrificing the f/2.8 to get a fisheye would be worth it. Especially with the high ISO capabilities (it seems) of the 7D. What do you think? (I know it is personal prefference but give me some feedback)

Secondly, what fisheye do you recomend? I am looking at the Tokina 10-17mm. I also remember seeing a SUPER cheap fisheye lens a couple months ago that I thought just came out. It was made by some weird brand... G2 or something like that? From the reviews I read it was supposed to be very good for the money... Now I can't find it anywhere. I think it was only offered through one of those online retailers (B&H, adorama, JR?). Does anybody know what I am talking about?

Ive heard and seen some good pictures taken with the Tokina lens!
I personally just went with the Canon 15mm Fisheye myself. because as much as I like the fun factor of the lens over time it gets a little old and shooting a set would just be too much fisheye. the 15mm lens isnt really all that fishy on a 1.6x sensor so it worked out perfect for me.

As for you and your wanting to trade the Tamron for the fish, I think you should as you seem to like the 28-135 more, and that will now probably be your walk around lens and will leave your 28-75 sitting in your bag. you know?
 
I've got the 15mm but I only use it on my full frame body. If I was looking for one to put on a crop body I'd get the Sigma 10mm.
 
Oh yeah, if you ever plan to upgrade to a FF body. I would buy the 15mm, it will save you time later selling off the tokina/sigma later down the road.

Except for the fact that you really cripple the lens by putting on the crop body, (that he just bought). ;)
 
Tokina and Pentax codevelop a lot of their lenses, including the 10-17 fisheye.

thus the Pentax 10-17 lens that I use is pretty much the same lens with a few minor differences i build. Its a fantastic lens. Really sharp for macro. It does suffer from PF here and there but the fun factor is huge! I love using this lens!

Thanks for all the advice. I actually fell back in love with my Tamron 28-75mm f2.8. I still want a fisheye though... I am leaning towards the Tokina for now but I am still trying to find that odd manufacturer that made/makes a fisheye for like $250 and the reviews were pretty good on it. Might be the Peleng but that doesn't ring a bell.

Yes I JUST bought this body and no plans of upgrading any time soon! ;)
 
If you have crop body, then better go with something like 10 or less mm.
I bought mine 8mm Peleng for around 330 USD, which at the time was the best price for circular fisheye.
However, be warned about the non consistent quality of these lenses (coming from the former USSR republic Belarus).
