Canon G7

Does anybody have a Canon G7? How do you like it? Please share some pictures.

That's a sick camera with one exception. Unfortunately it is the only G-series which doesn't shoot RAW. The G1-6 shoot RAW and the G9-10 shoot RAW (skipped the G8). I suppose Canon thought most would rather pay less money than shoot RAW, so Canon did an experiment with the G7 and took it away. Nobody bought it. I recently named two "duh" moments from Canon, and I will have to add this as a third.

how is it comparable to something like the nikon D70? My dad will be giving me his canon G7

Not much comparison, a D70 is an SLR, a G7 is a point and shoot. The G-series is about as good as point and shoots get though.

I have a G9 bad a** little camera I get very nice shots with it. I have a 5d as my primary and sometimes use my G9 for some quick shots when I shoot weddings. G series is as closest you will get to dslr(IMO).

I will try to post some shots with the G9 pretty much the same camera as the G7
