Hi all!
I have just bought the above point and shoot camera and am getting very frustrateda at the poor quality of the full-tank pics I am getting. I am sure it is my fault not the camera's and would really apreciate some feedback as to what is wrong with the sample pic and any suggestions to put it right, or failing that, if you could point me to a good website that would help.....What I really need is guidance as to what manual settings to use...
Thanks in advance!

(I used a tripod and the self-timer for this shot, so no camera wobble....used automatic mode)

anybody?
please?
It looks better actually in that smaller format, the problem is it doesn't look at all crisp in a larger format, despite my using the setting for best quality pics.....
sorry to be so un-camera-savvy....

I agree that the picture you posted looks good :p
Not sure exactly what you mean by crisp-- sharp focus? Did you edit the image at on the computer? Most images can use a little sharpening though some of the less expensive cameras tend to overdo it a little. Perhaps that picture could benefit by being a tad less bright- some of the highlights are blown out, plus when you underexpose a picture slightly the colors tend to saturate a little better.

thanks for that!
I had thought that maybe underexposing it a bit might improve it, so will give that a try.
That picture was not edited---I was disappointed with the picture in its original format, about 2-3 times the size of the one I posted, because it really wasn't at all sharp, looked slightly out of focus.
Will keep trying.......:)
