Canon VS Nikon

yep its the american flag, and a POW/MIA flag below it.

I agree, it takes away from it.

I took that from on top of the WWI memorial in KC...heck of a view from up there.

Nice Pic!

I'm going to go out on the limb and say that was probably your best bug pic of the day... right?

That happens to me a lot! Get a good shot off right away and my next 20 blow, especially while trying new lens or subjects..

exactly!

i really was just going to the garden to take some macros of flowers, and i see this wasp sitting on a leaf. so i think, hmm...., and by the time i set up the tripod and locate the wasp through the viewfinder, which is pretty hard at 200-300mm, i snap the pic and then he jets off. same thing happened with some birds, except i couldnt get a decent shot off before they took off. >:(

i'll be going out tomorrow as well to see what i can do if its not to wet.

haha... I'm to lazy to carry around my tripod so I usually shoot by hand, which definitely doesn't make things easier on me but I'm a lot more mobile.

Oh BTW I went and checkout out a D700 yesterday. Damn nice camera, good feel in the hand, nice button layout but after using my D80 for so long I was surprised at how heavy it was. Obviously its a hell of a lot more camera though.

This light drawing shot was done using a Nikon D200 and 17-55mm f/2.8 AF-S. I used a flashlight and light painted my friend, but should have used a snoot since I had a SU-800 and SB-800 with me. Currently I'm trying to sell off my reef gear and switch to a FO tank so I can pick up a D300 :).

He he he. Yes it would have.

Almost fall down this part, was crossing some water when I decided to stop and take a picture of the water running down the mountain. My dad was behind me and didn't know I was stopping. :)

The picture doesn't do the steepness justice.

You hike up there to get this view (( at about 9500 feet )) for reference, notice the person in the bottom left corner.

And this is looking back up towards the base of the Middle Teton. ( this was about a month and a half ago, the snow field is over 20 feet deep )
