Exactly. I never claimed to be smart. ;)

But, getting shots like these makes it worth it.

(( a bit out of focus ))

Eggs Zachary.

Also not to great of a pic, but you need to know your surroundings. I do birds, when you don't hear any, there's a reason why!!!

Arg Toddrtrex . . . We went on vacation out west last two weeks of may, were gonna to rocky mnt, teton and yellowstone, but the snow was still so bad (so i was told) at teton that we wouldn't have been able to hike without snowshoes. so we went rocky mnt and south. gonn apost a few pics.

Just west of Rocky Mountain National Park, north of Aspen area.

The coolest hike I have been on, or will be on (until I visit Yosemite, then I might be on a better hike. The Subway in Zion national park.

Wife and I hiking in Zion (7000+ feet, but only 3000ft up and down.)

Why you backpack in Zion National Park, anyone who hasn't and likes to backpack should really consider a one or two night trip through the west rim, wildcat canyon was neat too.

I would post macro flower shots, Zion, grand canyon, rmnp were all amazing at the end of may, but I also just got back from Hawaii... so there are no less than 1000 macro flower shots on my computer taken in the last 2 months. also out west the cacti were in bloom... wow.

Oh yea I shoot cannon 30D, 28-135, the sigma wide angle, 50mm, and soon the sigma 200-500 (woohoo wildlife here I come)

edit - I notice my picture quality drops when I hike 10-15 miles a day. I wonder why that is. (Thinking in the back of my head.. WHY ARE ALL THESE LENSES SO HEAVY!).

OH, and i also regret focusing on the tree and not the leopard itself! i still think they are decent. enjoy

Todd you had sick weather for teton NP... wow.

Yea, the weather couldn't have been better. About 75 and sunny each day, and the nights got down to about 45.

But, you are right about the snow, I don't want to think about how bad it would have been in May. Jackson lake was going out about 6" each day that we were there. I don't see how we could have done some of our hikes in May with just hiking boots. For the hike up to the base of Middle Teton used ski poles to get over some of the snow fields.

Just thought I would share some pics from my D40 and 18-55mm kit lens. Buying a 16gb SD card was the best investment I've ever made hands down! I haven't had to empty my card once this entire summer. Europe, Goodyear Blimp ride, Disney/orlando, and a bunch more.

Man, I apologize that they don't look AMAZING. When I was loading them from my Dell laptop with the extra high res. screen with reflective surface, they looked sharp and the colors looked beautiful. I guess if you've got a similar screen, you'll be able to enjoy them similarly!
