Canopy challenge

For my next set up I think I’d prefer to go with a wood canopy. The canopy will sit on top of a 180g tank and will house two or three 250w MHs (or HQI) and some T5 or VHO lighting. My requirements are that I want no light to show through or above the canopy. This must open in a way to provide excellent access into the aquarium. Cooling must be as quite as possible.

If you can point me to any really good designs I’d appreciate it.

my canopy has a lid on it and the whole top opens and the front has 2 doors on it to open from the front of the tank. gives you the 2 options to access the tank. I also stapled screen on the back of it to leave it open for air exchange and to prevent jumpers from getting out. HTH
