I'm trying to get simple ideas for canopy design for a deep tank. I'm getting a 63"x36"x30" mostly rectangle with slightly angled front side panels to make it a deep flat back hex shape tank.
The stand builder suggested doors that open on the canopy along with a 17" measured from the top hinged lift up for tank cleaning. I'm kind of concerned that 17" isn't enough but don't want something so heavy it can't be lifted. My old tank was 24" deep so I've never had a deep tank before. I want the canopy to be 12" high because lights will be LED.
For those who have deep tanks what are some ideas for canopy design that allow access to the back panel to clean and good access to the rest of the tank? And don't need engineering degrees to build. Or is what is suggested okay?
