I would definitely recommend a fan........:D

On a serious note, I'll be tagging along to find out as well.

I got two fans I could trade you they were in a canopy I used to have and did a great job. They r boxer brand model 4715ms-12t-b20. Let me no.

Here's what I'm using and trust me, this works. The evaporation is a bit higher because of it though.

Have you tried blowing it across a 300lb block of ice between the fan and your lights, it really improves the efficiency...
BTW, have a substantial drip pan under the ice block...

Bill:)

I mistakenly put this in backwards in the canopy and it blew my 90 across the room. Now that I know this little trick, it will make moving the tank a breeze, do not even have to drain the tank to move it.

Here's a smokin deal on some silent case fans.

Remember the more fans you have the more reliability you have built in. I had a friend loose his tank, when the single large fan he relied on failed.

This is awesome! I had used cooler master fans before and loved them!

Have you considered contacting Arnold Schwarzenegger? He DID play Mr. Freeze and for a small fee would probably be willing to look into your aquarium and say, "Chill out"

Problem solved.

Here is what I use.
80mm computer fan from Newegg

I only use the dual ball bearing fans. I'm running 4 in my canopy cooling 2-250W MH bulbs. I have 2 on the back pulling air in (they are located on the far outside edges to pull air in to one end of the bulbs), and 2 on the top pulling air up out of the canopy (they are located in the center right next to each other to pull air across the bulbs). I'm running all 4 off a single 12v, 1a, transformer. they are very quiet and cool extreamly well. Total order shipped was under $20.00. One advantage to these fans are you will hear them getting louder long before they give out. If you prefer the name brand @ $4.00 each I would recomend the Cooler Master. for myself I bought the Dynatron. Hope this helps.

I bought the coolermaster 120mm fans from newegg. Have it wired up to a old power supply that came from my old cable modem. 12v 1 amp
I have 4 of them running on my hood for my t5's all of them blowing inward.
