Here it is the Canopy for the new 90. Of course I have a question that I need answered by a carpenter. The front will have 2 doors, the opening as you see them are 24X14 1/2. I need suggestions on what to do so I can the doors installed. What I need is what size doors should I install and how to I skin this part of the canopy.

Thanks
Arlo

You're making this thing solid all the way around except for the doors? How are you going to ventilate it?

Good start you have some good ideas. Like they say though first one is tough and never done the right way. Second one is a breeze and has all the kinks worked out. Good luck with your build and keep us updated.

Arlo, I just biult mine this past Sunday with IMLON2.
Ok first off, stop where your at dude. IMO you don't want it to be completely close off. (1)Take off the back panel if you can that is. leave that open.( You will still want to use the fans that you have planned for, them will push air into the canopy and it will exit vie the rear open area.)

(2) Place the back panel on the front of the canopy( just like you have it on the back).

(3) The door's can any size you want them to be. That's really your choice. Lonnie will tell you to have them open from top to bottom. I don't like that design I like the doors to open from left to right or vise versa. You need to find out what you like that fits you. If you are going to close off this canopy all the way around, I would suggest fans bigger than 4". Or at least place 4 of 4" fans instead of just 2 of them.

Please keep in mind these are JIMO not fact's of any kind.

Buy the way, NICE JOB DUDE !!! We just made mine out of 3/4 plywood and I'm only going to 2 hinges that open the top instead of the strip. Beings I'm a super el'cheapO I plan on picking up the doors from the hardwood store that go to kitchen/bathroom cabnit's. I'll have them small and open from the center out to the edges. ( left to right )

Thanks SR

I guess my concern with that idea is if I have the back opened won't that be a pain with the lights? I will be running (2) 250 Watt MH and (2) 110 Watt Super Actinic. Would I be better off to just maybe run 4 fans in the back?

How would it be a pain in the back??

Yes you could just use 4 of the 4" fans, although it is JMO but I don't think that allows the right amount of air to flow freely. It is IMO that this make's an upper jet stream of air within the canopy. You have the air rolling upwards and then being grab by the stream which is going in one direction only at all times. However I have seen other systems set up like that and they seemed to be working perfectly. IMLON2 had his first tank set up like that and had no issues with it. It's up to you.
