Can't Believe it has come to this! We are moving! Breaking down the tank...

OMG...my husband has accepted a wonderful position in Dallas, Tx and we will be moving come June. Although this seems like a surreal out of body experience for me being that I LOVE Tennessee, I am sick at the idea of breaking down my tank. I will be trying to list all that I have in corals in the next 2 weeks or so and will promise them out right at break down time, but for now I need to keep the tank pretty to show the house. I am not sure what to do about my fish, for I love them and may try and find a way to have them "hosted" for a bit and then shipped until I get my tank back up and going. Angela and Jack, both of you have helped me in so many ways with the setup and learning of my tank, so I would like both of you to have first dibs on items. I will probably be keeping all of my rock and equipment, but if this changes you will all be the first to know. If I do get an offer on my house WITH tank included, I may consider if the sum is enough. It just kills me because I waited and tried to get the best pumps, lights and all, as you know!
I will miss this club, although life has been so hectic it has not been fun not to join everyone lately.
Give me a bit to get it together and I will work on my list and prices.

:(

ok, I see it now.....my buddy wayne is gonna kill me....I did not mean to leave you out on the first dibs....you can pop me one next time you see my, bro'...remember not myself..out of body experience....yak yak yak......did I save myself?

WOW! sure hate to see you all go, but sure do understand jobs and supporting the family. All of you will be missed......:(

yes, I have been investigating this.....looks kind of nice! It appears that my Wayne is going to host my fishies for me for a bit and then DRIVE them to Texas for me since his daughter and/or friend will be in the area by then....yahoo!!! Thanks Wayne!!! Now that is a good friend!

Bitter sweet. Congrats on the awesome new job -- but sorry you all are moving. You'll have to make a few meetings before you go.

HI Jack,

Now you realize the extent of busy we have been, I am so sorry we have not gotten together with you and your wife. Yes, we are planning on the next meeting....we are so busy trying to get the house ready for the market. also, we got a new puppy! Molly is still doing great, no reoccuring cancer...yet, so far so good. I will talk to you soon.

Julie,

Congrats on the job. Another reason to visit Texas. I will have to make the trip along with Brianna so you can see how big she is getting. There maybe a fish or two "forgotten" in our tank. OOPS!

That's great to hear about Molly!

Well if it help any I am sure you are doing the responsible thing for your corals and your reef can always be rebuilt. When we moved from CA I did the same thing and kept just the equpiment and rock. Nice thing being closer to ocean is prices should be cheaper as well.

Best of luck with your move for you and your family and stay in touch !
