Heh- Well, I've never posted negatively about that whole situation but I think that the whole thing stinks and always did. I don't think Trottie knowingly set out to do anything or contribute to anything wrong but I also think that if I were in his shoes I would want to know the history behind the rock I was buying IN THIS SITUATION. All of the hoopla about the dealings of the person selling the rock would have raised flags for me. I have been a little irritated by all of this because the person selling the rock that apparently wasn't ever paid for also had a long ordeal with a tank that was never paid for and while those two defunct transactions were going on, the person was actively trying to buy a skimmer from me for more than $400.

In My opinion, if you owe someone that much money for things and keep them waiting for months due to a supposed lack of funds, you DON'T run around buying other stuff in the mean time PERIOD. Thing is, I wasn't the only person he was trying to buy things from during that time! In my mind, that equates to either a very unintelligent person or a very crooked one.

Trottie, Don't sweat this much cuz it's a done deal at this point. The tank looks nice- take things slow....

i really didnt know what i was getting into... until someone pmed me a couple hours after i bought it. then chad brought it up publically, which i did not really want.... but whatever, what is done is done.

I can understand you not wanting the negative publicity but I really don't think Chad was trying to shed negative light on you. What I think he was doing was making sure that what the seller was doing was made public so that the parties involved in the initial rock transaction were aware of things. It was something that needed to be made public whether some people think so or not and unfortunately you got caught in the middle of it.

I think a lot of people here were not only frustrated by that whole situation but quite frankly, ****ed off by it. There's nothing wrong with you buying the rock form him as long as the money makes it into the hands of it's rightful owner and that aspect of the transaction doesn't concern you so you're fine. Chad comes across as a jack nugget online and I think that's why he was taken the way he was but I don't think there was anything wrong with his true intentions here.

--you are right kent, his intention was not bad. but the way he went about perssuing it was bad. whether it merited a ban i dont know.

If you look at all his posts, it is very obvious that he is NOT a disturber, so to speak. He has been disturbed by this situation for a long time, and from my understanding, put a lot of effort into helping to make it right.

There has been a lot of crap going on in our wonderful forum here and the mods have been watching. They were tired of it and want to put an end to the bickering. Chad was just used as an example.
