Besides water changes, any ideas how to lower Calcium, I have been doing water changes for weeks, but for some reason my Ca is hanging around 525. Alk is about 8.5 a little high also, and Mg is high as well, 1380. Everything else is good. Any ideas?
I have been using instant ocean-reef crystal for years. I have tested my newly made saltwater many times and it's always spot on. Before I switched to IO, I was using better/ more expensive salts; red sea coral pro, brightwell, and etc. I noticed with the more expensive salts the cal, alk, and mg would be much higher than normal.
Let's not make this a debate about salt brands
I have been helping A320 FO for the past couple of months. I believe his calcium will stabilize in time. A320 FO just went through a large tank transfer and his livestock took a hard hit. IMO, their is nothing in his tank using much calcium, even the clam. However, I am very surprised its still so high.
