Can't grow Rics but Yumas grow like weeds

So I tried a bunch of different Rics with no luck. I bought 1 Yuma about 6 months ago. The one is now at least 20-30. Anyone else have trouble with one while growing the other?

Wow look at that, you are doing something right it sure is happy.

The only trouble I have been having with the Florida's is that I bleached 3 of mine due to the lights being to intense, now doing a lot of praying each and everyday they come back.

I have only had Yuma's once in the past, it was a pretty baby pink and it did well. Now I have one with my Florida's and will see how well it does, not a great color of one, but thought I would try it anyways and see how well it does. I love the Ricordeas but this go around they have been a challenge for me for some reason.

Keep up what ever you are doing they look great.....

I am running a Radion Pro for lighting. Filtration is a filter sock, SWC160 Skimmer, and GFO. My parameters are ALK 11.5, CA 480, Mag 1500. I only feed my pellets to my fish.

Do you dose amino acids? trace minerals? figi mud? what is dosed in this system please. how much flow. How intense is your light run at. carbon dosing? any activated carbon used. system total volume, how tall are you and how many kids you have lol thanks for the answers

also salt type, water change schedule and whats in your fuge :)

I don't dose anything other than Mg, Alk, Ca. I run GFO. 2 MP10WES. Th light is a radium pro set at 85% for about 4-5 hours a day and way less intensity for another 10-12 hours 50 gal cube with 10 gal sump. 6' 2"...and 3 kids :)

ESV B-ionic salt. 10 gallons every 10-14 days. Chaeto and rubble...

I am going to have to try some Rics again. Just to see if it is a tank maturity thing.
I used to have trouble with Ricordias.
I think that I figured that they like lots of light. At first they sometimes look like they have too much light when new so I move them lower in the tank for a few days then back up. Mine are splitting with lots of light and medium flow. I do feed rodifers a couple times a week

Holy mother of christ.....

You'd be an excessively wealthy man downunder with a "problem" like that.....

Well damn... It is 4-5" across when fully open. The babies are not that big yet. I must have 15-20 of them.

Ahh ok looks bigger in the picture I thought it was like a foot long or something or but still how big would the babies be cause a nice bright color like that well...

I just bought a small thumbnail sized Pink Yuma and it was $275.......15x or 20x that $4125 or $5500...and they sell like hot cakes down under, people are fighting over them its as if price don't matter just the quality :X...

The babies are about 2" across to some the size of a thumbnail. I may have to sell some. Problem here is that unless it has a "name" no one pays.

I never knew that Ricordeas had names I know the Zoas and Paly's have names and they can fetch a nice price for names ones.

Let me know where one can find out the names of Rics?
