Can't save settings.

I have a PII+ running on a Windows 7 OS (it is a recent install since my old laptop just died).

I am trying to upgrade but whhen I attemp to save my settings I get this error message:

what version of firmware are you running on the Profilux?

what version of Profilux Control?

Some of the older version did not have all of the file deffinition so you have to update to a newer firmware of downgrade temporarely the version of ProfiluxControl.

if you plan on going from firmware family version 4 to 5, the configuration are not compatible and it's easier just to upload to the lates and to recreate the configuration.

Can I go from 4.03 to version 5 + ?

Currently I only have light settings inout so it is no big deal if I have to retype them.

yep, you will lose your settings however, but now real way round this.

and if you want to look at the new Profilux Control 6 as beta you can load

This will work with your 5.05f firmware but it's still a early beta (so some bugs, translation missing etc).

I recomend that you stick with PLC 5.053

I have downloaded the software and am ready to go I just have a few quick questions please.

Do I simply run the software to overwrite my version 4.0.8.1 of would I attempt to update the firmware first?
If not, what are the steps or a link for me to read?

using Profilux control 4 that toy already have installed, load up the new firmware (read in the manual first on how to do it).

then unisntall profilux Control 4.x then install install 5.x

I downloaded and installed.
Everything seems to have gone well except for one small issue.

When I set my light schedule I no longer have the option to utilize my dimmable bulbs the "Minutes" area is missing.

Any ideas?
