Canyo issue - Froggie bleaching - Alk issue

Now that I wrote this and look back on it I think my tank is a mess.

OK I have a little canyo in the front of my display that has now started to spread. It does not have a strong foothold but I dont want it to get there. I moved a PW to blow more directly on the area but my frogspawn does not like it. Should I:

Use the powerhead to increase flow and let the froggie get used to it.
Use the powerhead to increase flow and move the froggie somewhere else. Now its stuck in the sand. Read froggie issue below.
Look to a water issue?

Froggie issue related?
The froggie has been very happy for the last year. Last week I had 1 of 8 heads close up for 4-5 days. I addressed a alk issue (was 6-7 now 9-10) and it has since opened back up. But that head is now somewhat bleached. It is a much lighter green than it was.

Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
PH: 8.0
Alk 8-9 Just buffered. I am buffering every day now.
Calcium (was 550 last week n4 when the alk was 7. Now I am out of the test) Getting a salifert from the LFS today if they are back in stock.

is that the froggie out of my tank?

No salifert anywhere BTW.
If you are that concerned why not do a water change since u now have an RO, do several to get your parameters in check.

Yep same one. Its been doing great up until last week when 1 head closed. I have fixed the alk issue through daily buffering and it has since opened up. With a loss od color. Its not completely bleached just lighter.

I have held off on my weekly water change because of the sludge. I have only ever used bought ocean water.

I had very unhappy frogspawn, hammer, and candycanes when I was running my maxi jet w/ the 1600 upgrade. I thought that they might "get used to it," but they all never seemed to be very happy about it. I gave it a couple of weeks and decided it was too much, so I put my koralia 1 back in. They're all perking back up now.
