capictor blown open

Hi All,

Recently I noticed that one of my MH bulbs wasn't starting up. I opened up the ballast (TAR magnetic M58) and noticed the capcitor was split open and oozing. I have oredered another and it should be here on Wednesday. My question is, is it safe to keep running my one remaining light? One of the pendants still works but not very bright. I'm not sure why one still works even with a broken capacitor. I'm trying to give my inhabitants as much light as possible until I get the ballast fixed.
The next question...Is replacing the capacitor easy or should this be left up to the electricians? Thanks for any help. Oh yeah, here is the link to the ballast.http://www.hellolights.com/25unmagm58ba.html

Replacing the capacitor should be fairly straight forward. I would not continue unless you absolutely have to using that capacitor because the ballast is not running with a very unconditioned power source coming in and could cause further damage to the ballast as well as possibly the bulb.
