Captive Bred H. Erectus Seahorses for sale

Hi all! I have 5 and 6 month old southern erectus seahorses for sale. They were raised in my home. Are of course eating frozen mysis. I'm feeding them Hikari frozen mysis shrimp and PE mysis. They are almost too big for the Hikari tho so I will prob stop offering that soon. I raised these guys for the experience and the fact that I couldnt flush the cute lil things and turned out to be successful at raising them. For those of you that dont know seahorses are not suitable for reef tanks or tanks with aggressive fish. The temps are too high in reef tanks and make the seahorses more susceptible to disease because bacteria will multiple faster in the warmer water temps. Optimum water temp is 72-74. I prefer 72 and thats the temp my tanks are kept at. I have a list of acceptable tank mates for seahorses if anyone is interested, feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions. Also, Im asking 55.00/each and anyone not in the knoxville area I will ship overnight.
Thanks!
Nikki

LOL thanks Chris. I knew there was a reason I wasnt able to go to frag swap... we are supposed to leave for vacation on June 13th! Go figure..

Yes, Nikki's hard work! :) I will give him credit, he put the tanks together and feeds them on occasion ;) but hatching bbs and training them to eat frozen was all my doing lol

I hear ya ;)

We'd love to buy some for the hatchery. We have a seahorse system running now, but we have only a few H. erectus in there so-far that we raised from a spawn about a year ago, so looking for some new blood (we lost the female of our original spawning pair a few months ago).

I think the current in my tank is a bit too much for them. I've got a seriously peaceful tank and I'm getting an oversized chiller and going to lower the living crud outta my tank temp, so I'd be golden on that front, but yeah...Matt would make a MUCH better home.

Hey Matt, sorry about not getting back to you... I dont check this thread regularly. You have a pm.

I still have some available if anyone is interested. Best way to get in touch with me is through PM.
Thanks!

Thanks Debbie :)

Ok guys, i have a link that gives info on what tankmates are and are not suitable for seahorses. I cant link it here but if you want it send me a pm.
Thanks,
Nikki
