captive bred maroon clown ??'s

Hi, i recently recieved a CB maroon clown from liveaquaria and all it seems to want to do is swim just below the water level near the top of the tank all the time. i was hoping it would go to the frogspahn or something but it hasnt yet..

anyone have similar experiences? thanks

Just give it some time. I've had clowns that do that all the time. Maroons can be aggressive with their hosts.....I had to remove some corals and anemones. Those huge females....

also...
i have noticed that yellowstripe maroons have wide stripes and white stripe maroons have thin stripes... will this clown eventually have thick yellow stripes? or always have thin white stripes...

depends on whether it's a gold stripe or white stripe maroon, I guess.

How old/mature/large is the clown? Stripe size, length, spots, etc are all genetic traits. GSM's will begin to develop yellow streaks around a year. Usually in the band closest to the front.
