carbon and phosban O.K. for sps?

I was reading another thread about bleaching and the topic of carbon and or phosban might be causing this, are these not good for sps? and why?

I wouldnt run a sps tank without either. The process when using p04 remover or AC is to introduce it slowly when first adding it to a tank with existing sps. To much to fast then then you run into problems. But thats just me, im no expert.

if never using them start off slow


they can shock the sps from the quick effect of using them
