Since the incident on Wednesday night We have found the heat exchanger to be cracked and spewing CO into the house. No adverse side effects so far but does anyone see any issues that might arise. The unit is being replaced monday. I have noticed an increase in algea in the last week. I now think this might be the cause. What do you think?

I think it was you that posted in the thread about the exterminator,
to be sure an turn off the skimmer.
If your skimmer, or any external pump has been pulling "bad" air into the tank I would think you would need to have high turbulence at the surface to blow that off.

its off till i can run the tube outside later today. I also have sevral windows vented to help lower levels in the house. everything seems to be fine though so we're crossing our fingers.
