Carbon particle size

I will be placing an order for carbon from BRS soon. They have two types of carbon particle size. Large and small. Which would be the best size to get?

i prefer the large particles. Easier to rinse.

Large as well, but I've thought about buying the large and small lignite carbon, then mix them. Cost wise is about the same as the ROX (small from what I've read and seen) but you get more. Performance should be pretty good as it's a decent mixture.

I use The ROX from BRS......it is very small but the best carbon i've found. I use a micro brine shrimp net to rince ROX carbon. It is two small to put in anything else.

I use ROX too. No need to pre-rinse, BTW. Just pop them into the reactor and run the reactor effluent into a clear jug until the water is clear. Takes less than a minute.

True if your using a reactor....I do not use a reactor and must rinse. Either way I agree it doesn't take long due to very little dust in ROX.
