Hi just wondering how offen you should change your carbon?
the bottle that it comes in says that it can last for many months however my fish guys changes it fairly reg.
thanks

There is really no set rule over how often it should be changed. some people with lightly loaded tanks and strong skimming might find that they need to change it every few months or so while some with densly populated tanks may change it weekly. It may take a little experimentation on your part to find what works best for you.

The way I run my tanks is to do water changes monthly and to change the carbon two weeks after the water change, thereby changing the carbon monthly. It keeps the tank looking really clean during the whole month.

I usually change mine out evey month. I only use about a cup and a half for a total water volume of around 3oo gallons

For as inexpensive as carbon is, change it sooner than later. I change mine every two weeks along with the P04 remover.

I also change my carbon every two weeks. But not the phosphate remover. Changing that every two weeks would be very expensive.
