Carbon ?

So I was changing my carbon yesterday in my H.O.T. magnum and when I put it back on my tank some fine carbon particles shot back into the water. I have a 46 gallon bowfront with LR only right now. My question is should I vacuum my substrate now that some carbon has made it into the tank(I can see very few fine particles) or will it be okay. Today was going to be the day I added my first two fish. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If you can se the particles just take some 1/2 inch tubing start a syphon and they will get sucked right out.

Turkey baster can also grab them.

The only danger of carbon left in the tank is that once it supercharges with whatever it sucked up, it starts releasing whatever-it-is. And it's ugly. So best recovered.

Good call Sk8r, thanks for the input. I just did a 20% water change last week (& the water parameters are looking good)so I was trying not to do 1 again if I didn't have to. The turkey baster is a good idea. Thanks again.
