carbonate hardness test....

just did, he said 2-3 per pound, but no response to my pm....uh im thinkin he was talkin to sirreal, beacuse isnt geo's name phil?...

STLshoe I wont take pics of $2 rock-it has no nasties and you can pick the pieces that you want. GWA is a haul for me except Tue at around 3PM. If not come pick the pieces out of the sump, I live right by the Loop-good luck

You're doing a fresh water test on a salt water tank!

Carbonate Hardness (gH) is meaningless for marine tanks.

In the same kit you will see a dKH test kit. This is what you want to use for a marine tank.

There is nothing wrong with the API dKH test kit. It's by far the easiest kit to use for Alk. Each drop is 1 dKH (it doesn't get easier then this).

huh? gh is general hardness......karbonate hardness is Kh......dKh is degrees karbonate hardness

The kit you have probably does both.......(i don't know for sure, but that's my guess)
