CARC Member Registration

Alright everyone! As promised by the end of the week, I have the registration page up and running! Its not the best looking, but it is fully functional.

For those of you who are interrested in joining the CARC, please take a few minutes and fill out this form on our site: www.alabamareefers.com

Note: Your information will not be shared, sold or given to anyone. The only info that will be open to the general public will be your name, your CARC signon name, your tank page (once its created), and your join date.

Eventually, members will be able to see your phone number(s) (if you choose to) and your CARC E-Mail address.

All of the other info is for internal use by our officers and members only.

Yes we will collect dues only after the officers are in place, and we have a treasurer to manage the money. Mark, maybe I can help are you getting an error when you submit? If so what is the error.

Guys, Iconz is probably deep into working on the member logon area of the website. I am at my sons practice when I get back I will look at the database and make sure it went through ok. You should have gotten a page that said something like Thank you (name) registering or something after you clicked submit. I should be home about 8pm.

still no good. Goes to blank screen and nothing else. Are the newly registered people supposed to show up in the registered members list? If so then no new names.....

No, they will not be in the member's list yet. I haven't made that dynamic.

You will get a big, bright, orange message with your name on it when it is successful.

Something is wrong with the database connections. I think my testing of the member login page has used up all of the available connections. I'll try to add some code in here to make sure these connections are getting closed.

So far, the people who have registerd are Allen, Myself, Philip, M. Rodruigez, and Joseph.

It is working, just not all of the time. I think once some of my connections time out, we'll be back to normal.

Well, Let me send Iconz an email. I can say that its currently not working. And I didn't see Mark, Dobb, or RugDog. Something seems to of gone haywire on him, just bare with him the book is a million pages thick and he just made it out of chapter one but hey I aint complaining, was too scared to even pick it up.

hahaha! It is pretty thick, but i'm actually on page 770 of book 2 ...

I think most of the problem is when the db is gettin worked over (like when i'm testing something). I'll try to find out how many siumltanious connections we can have at one time.

by the way. if you get a blank page, you can just hit your back button on your browser and re-enter your password (twice) and try again. Not a good fix, but it will save you from having to re-type that whole thing out again.
