Cardinal fish

Hi all

I have two bangai cardinal fish in my 100gal tank. I really wanted a mated pair and thought that I had one as up until a week ago they spent most of the time following each other around the tank. But all of a sudden the larger of the two turned on the smaller one and chases it constantly. Does anyone know why the behaviour has changed and wether I need to do anything about them as I don't want them to kill each other. As I said I would like a pair of these fish and don't want to take one out unless I have to as I don't know how I could catch one as I have a lot of rock work that I wouldn't be able to take out. Also is it possible to sex these fish to check if I have a boy and a girl or not? Any advice is appreciated

These were my very first saltwater fish and I really enjoy having them in my tank but would like to stop them fighting all the time.

Thanks

How long ago did you get them? It could be possible the one is just establishing dominance over the other...maybe? I know clowns do that and then also schooling fish.

Good luck, I tried when I purchased(and was wrong). They are also surprisingly difficult to catch. They can move when they want to.
