Care and Feeding of Fuzzy Mushrooms

Does anyone have any tips for the care and feeding of fuzzy mushrooms/hairy mushrooms. I have fed brine and mysis...but am wondering if they should be fed silversides or other items?

They don't require much care at all. I have mine under medium light and once in a while I'll feed it, but it isn't necessary at all. All they need is light and whatever they can catch.

If you want to feed them i recommend some cyclopeeze along with the mysis. Mine loves zooplankton.

Mike Thank you for the info...I saw on another site someone fed their fuzzy silversides and I thought that was all wrong. I wanted to make sure my brine, mysis and cyclopeze was ok. Thanks again.

You're quite welcome Silversides are probably fine, but I'd consider them overkill for one mushroom and all you're doing is adding a lot of extra nutrients to your system.

I'm glad you liked my site. Yes, I did the web design myself. I actually did it by hand by writing the code into text files, saving them in HTML format, and then uploading them to my domain. The graphics were done in an old version of Paint Shop Pro. I like to do things the hard way I guess... more satisfaction.

I feed mine silversides, but only because I feed my BTA silversides. I just think it's fun to watch them eat.

Quite honestly, though, after look at others dinner-plate sized shrooms, i should probably stop feeding him. My tank isn't really all that big.
