I ordered some Caribsea arag-alive sand online received it today and the bag was leaking is it still ok to use....

It is the vaccum and anerobic enviroment that "supposidly" keeps the microbes in the sand in a state that can handle the heat / cold ect... of being packaged. So if they are now exposed to air they theoretically could have died.

IMO there is really no such thing as "LIVE " sand. I beleive pretty much everytbing is dead anyway, and the sand just helps to produce a great NO2-3 cycle as the dead organizms produce a good ammonia reaction when placed in warm saltwater and start to decay producing a stronger nitrifying affect in the end. I would use it and expect the same results.
