Caring for Frowspown

Hi,

I recently acquired a green frogspawn. Half of it has died, and the other half was looking pretty good at the time that I got it. six days have passed, and since then it's pulled back into the skeletally, and you can only see the tips of the coral sticking out.

My current tank setup is as follows: I have a 8 gallon tank with some mushrooms, zoas a candy cane and this frogspawn.

I have 28W of lights 20W 10 000K, and 8W 6500K. Currently I have 10ppm nitrates in the tank which I'm having trouble getting out.

What will be the perfect condition to keep the frogspawn at?

I think you need a tad more light in there. Or put it right at the service. I think the nitrates are more of a concern though. It sounds like you need to do some major water changes.

ive kept one at 20ppm NO3 when i first started...it did fine...i would not reccomend doing this, nor am i saying your water quality is fine...but i suspect it is your lights..i kept mine under a 250w MH on the lower half of the tank and it did not fully open till i placed it somewhere in the middle...the need flow, but a gentle turbulent type rather than a PH drilling into them...
