Carnation Coral

I saved/traded for this rock with some small orange softies on it. Turned out its about 5-6 small carnation corals. Are these slow growers? I've had it for about 7 months now and have gotten some growth but nothing major. I feed it about once a week and its completely shaded. Is there anything else I can do or is this about it?

Here's a pic

Recommendations are feedings, 3x daily, which increases nitrates, which these corals can't handle. Quite the paradox there!

Yours probably aren't growing much due to your feeding schedule but if you bumped that, they'd get larger...then die due to water quality. Keep doin what your doin!

Well I'm sure its getting some other stuff that floats on by. I just direct feed it once a week. I drop 1/2 a cube of frozen cyclops in every other day, so that probably helps as well. :spin3:

These corals will feed and thrive on fish waste as well as fresh or dried plankton, if you have a good size fish population they will do fine.
