I have noticed on 2 of my dendroneptheas that they are not wanting to open their polyps up, but they are growing a bunch of buds around the base of the stalk. My guess is its a last ditch effort to save the colony similar to when a tree sprouts multiple branches when its dying. Has anyone else noticed or experienced this?
