carpet anamone

Can I put a carpet anemone in a fish tank with angels, trigger, and tangs. It's outgrowing my reef tank and eating too many things?

You can do whatever you want...

I have a carpet anemone in my tank along with Triggerfish and Tangs. I'm not sure if you were concerned for the anemone...or concerned for the fish. I have had my carpet anemone for 6-7 years and have never observed it to eat a healthy fish. I expect it is possible though. The fish wisely show no interest in being near the anemone.

Carpet anemone's get large. Very large. Mine is probably 2 feet in diametre.

I have lost tangs and a jawfish to a carpet. Most fish will learn to avoid but it is possible. They may go into the anemone after food. I had more problems with a large green carpet than with a blue carpet. Then again the green carpet was much larger
