Carpet Anemone question

My green carpet anemone caught my watchman goby and tried to eat him. I was able to get him free after about ten minutes but he died a few minutes later. I have been feeding him a couple of silversides a week. My maroon yellow striped clown is hosting with it. My question is, should I be concerned for my other fish and should I be feeding more?

I have in addition to the maroon clown, two false percs (who wont host an anemone), 1 powder brown tang, 1 coral beauty, 1 angel fish, and 1 six line wrasse.

Thanks in advance for any input.

carpets are notorious for eating your fish :) I've seen 4" tangs get ate by a green Hadoni.

FWIW, once caught in the tentacles it's useless to free the fish, the stinging cells have already done a major toll on the fish and most are likely to die, might as well watch the carpet have an expensive dinner :(

FWIW your carpet didnt catch the fish. Its not like they sit back and jump on a fish as it swims by. My YWG loves to perch either in the sand of the lower rock area around the sand. Thankfully he stays 6 feet away from my haddoni. My Orange Spotted goby stayed around the carpet. He eventually tried perching to close to the carpet and got caught. Its the price you pay with owning one of these large anemones. Ive lost a decent amount of fish to mine. Feeding it more is not going to stop it from eating a fish that wanders into it. Im sorry for your loss. I suggest getting a bigger tank. I lost a lot of fish when I housed my haddoni in a 55g. Its now in my 125g and has only eaten a chromis and a leopard wrasse. Thats only because my female clown grabbed them in her mouth and shoved then into it.

That is truly incredible! I'm only now learning about these anemones, and I am very fearful. :eek1:
