Carpet Anemone

Just got my carpet anemone about 2 days ago. Its color look fairly healthy but it seems to deflate quite often. A lot of times when it deflates it seems to be purging zooanthelle(sp?). Is this normal for a newly acclimating carpet or should I be worried? I am running a 250w MH and it hasn't moved since the first day I put it in so it seems to be happy with its location...

What type of carpet is it?

It could just be doing an internal water change as a way to acclimate itself to your tank.

Is the mouth tightly closed?

What size tank, lights, how long has it been set up, and what are the current water parameters?

tanks been up for four months everything is testing perfectly.. except SG actually seems to be a little low... about 1.022 so that could be the problem.

What type of carpet is it? gigantea, haddoni, or mertensii ?

What are the actually numbers when you test?

What size tank?

What lights do you have?

Your salinity should be around 1.025-1.026. For months isn't a long time for the tank being set up. And carpets ( all 3 ) aren't the best first anemone.
