Attached is a photo of my carpet anemone. Currently a pair of sebae clown fish is hosting in it. The carpet use to be at least 3x its size in that picture, for some reason during the past month it has reduce its size by 3x and its mouth is protruding out like a big bubble. Anyone know whats its problem and how I can possibly treat it? Thx

No one knows why they do this. Mouth eversion usually forbodes the death of the animal. How long have you had it. Was it a new purchase. Check phosphate and nitrite, nitrate levels. Maybe do a water change and good luck.

I'm assuming this is a gig? Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like it has been bleaching for a while. If its a gig, the stubby tentacles are also a bad sign. I think all you can do is recheck all your parameters, run some carbon, and do a healthy waterchange. Don't even try feeding while it looks like this. Also make sure your salinity hasn't dropped. Recalibrate the refractometer to be sure. I wish you the best.
