So before I drop a grip on some lighting for my in the works nem/clown tank I wanted to get some opinions. I would like to get a gig or hadd and since they tend to live in shallower waters would they benefit more from 7k "daylight" lighting over your typical 14k/act reef lighting?

i have 2x250 radiums and my gig moved from the bottom of the tank to the top. Gig's can't get enough light.

In my 180 I have had both near the bottom with 6t5s 4 blue actinic 1 purple actinic and a aquablue in the center and no issues which gives me a little more blue then I think a 14 k

Sweet, well to suit my needs LED's seem to be the best fit for me.

I was thinking of going with these guys http://americanaquariumproducts.com/LEDLights.html over all they seem like a good product, anyone have any exp with them?

I was thinking an array of these natural daylight spectrum "Gro Beam 500" and maybe mix it up with the "reef white" strips would work. Any guess on what would work for a 18wX22hX30L tank? How many do you think would be a good start?
