carpet nem questions...

hello,

i'm still researching on getting my first carpet nem, and have a few areas that i would like some feedback on.

--- has anyone had any issues of the carpet plugging the overflow and flooding your place? i heard about it for the first time today on a video. advice? thoughts?

--- any thoughts on haddoni vs a gigantae? i have read that haddoni are more likely to eat fish. i definitely want the carpet to host. i would really like a blue gig, but they seem so hard to find, and seem to have a much higher fatality rate then haddoni. thoughts? think a blue haddoni would be a good first carpet?

i have read about setting up a qt and using cypro and such. i will be prepared in that area before i purchase a carpet nem.

any other advice? thoughts?

If you don't already have an emergency drain, I'd suggest modifying your overflow to include one.

I have trochus snails plug up my main drain all the time.
