Carpet: What species, and spec for lights?

Okay, here's the deal:

I'm being graced (gifted) a mystery carpet if my tank can support it courtesy of a bad purchase from a friend, who didn't realize carpets tend to eat fish. However, it was a Petco purchase and we don't know the species. I'll get pics tonight and we can sort that out.

Part 2: my tank is a 4 month old 40B that's nicely stable. Coralline is growing in and I have a handful of softies in there and they are all growing visibly. However, I'm currently running only about 160W of T5s (4x39). I've kept anemones before but I was running 250W halides and compacts over a 75 (760 total watts, it was a beast for someone new to saltwater). I have good rock build, something like 65 pounds of rock for elevation if it's needed.

Yes, I will be getting a bigger tank in the future, probably a 150 or 180 wide. ETA for that is 2-3 years.

So, does the forum think we (I and anemone) will be okay as currently set up, or will I end up getting boned by re-homing this thing in the meantime?

Discuss. Pics will come later tonight.
