I am battling cyano right now and slowly winning. A friend said to use chemi clean, Which I heard too many stories about to do this. and then a cucumber. I would think is a haddoni got a hold of a cuc it would be a death sentance for both. Is this true?
And for me as well. In the beginning, I would see the cuke right under the haddoni and almost moved it for fear of being eaten. It's been almost 10 years now with the same cuke and anemone - no issues.
Thanks all for the feedback, I am too leary, I know it could not an issue, as other have had success But I would be too scared to add one. My luck it would be snagged up and a meltdown would happen.
Lost another clown today and I watched it happen too.
The male went out to feed and the purple tang had gotten close to the nem looking for food scraps, the clown rushed back in the nem. Well it closed up with him in it. Agh, He could have gotten away but he refused to leave the nem when it was closing up. He triggered a feeding response.
I was trying to get it to feed on clam meat and krill the last few days, But it would not take it. I guess it still chooses live food. If I cannot trust that clowns wont be eaten then I wont chance it to not eat a cuc.
Its looking nice and fluffy now that it ate a clown.
